Dr. Józef Drabik, the author of many publications on physical activity, once said: ” Let’s not wait for the disease to remind us of health . ” These are very wise words that should show us the way to remember to take care of your health. One of the important factors in this topic is adequate physical activity. And the key word is: RIGHT. The point is not to copy trainings prepared especially for athletes, but rather that the training will allow us to stay in the right form and prevent various diseases. This is where health training comes in. What is he and what is his idea? Let’s check.
Health training – what is it?
Health training is a training aimed at taking care of our health and the proper condition of our body, and in fact the whole body. As we have already pointed out, it is not about tormenting yourself with very demanding training, straight from the training of professional athletes or even bodybuilders. Because the goal of health training is not to build muscle mass, i.e. a muscular body. Such training is to help us develop the habit of regular physical activity, which translates into our well-being and the resistance of our body. . Health training is therefore aimed at various types of people, regardless of age or their current condition. Because the person in charge creates a health training plan adapted to the exercising person, taking into account his efficiency, possibilities and even diseases. Therefore, it is a training that allows you to properly care for your body.
Health training – goals and its idea
Health training is primarily aimed at shaping an even mobility . Thanks to this, the so-called civilization diseases, such as obesity, cardiovascular and heart diseases or osteoporosis, are counteracted and prevented, and at the same time the treatment of the already existing ones is supported. Health training also contributes to strengthening the bones and better blood supply as well as strengthening the muscles and ligaments. Health training also lowers bad cholesterol and raises good cholesterol. Its regular use increases the immunity of the immune system and reduces the risk of respiratory infections. Added to all this is the value associated with our psyche. The implementation of training allows you to overcome your weaknesses and prove to yourself that we can do more than we think. All this increases our self-esteem, and at the same time keeps our weight at an optimal level.
Health training – what does it look like?
We have already mentioned that health training is arranged individually, i.e. specifically for a given person. Therefore, its intensity and selected exercises may differ radically from each other. Nevertheless, there are some general principles that are found in almost any planned health training. First of all, health training is characterized by its versatility . What does it mean? A well-chosen training should affect all systems in the body, i.e. it should both maintain the overall efficiency and strengthen the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. Another thing is regularity . Health training cannot be incidental. Physical activity must be regular in order to be effective. This is important not only from a health perspective, but the truth is that without results, our motivation drops and we can quickly give up. Another element that characterizes health training is the gradation of training loads . This is so that the training is not uniform. Its duration, type of exercise and their intensity should be changed so that our body makes continuous progress. Initially, we get our body used to the loads, and then we work on continuous progress. And one more important thing – cyclicality . Training should correspond to the biological rhythm of our entire body, then it will be most effective.
